The Reveal 35C X-ray detector, recently installed at Village Hope Hospital in Kenya, was put to use in its first field event. On September 21st, the hospital staff participated in a community outreach organized by Athletics Kenya, offering free medical services.
The Medical Camp was part of the launch of the Chepsaita Great Cross Country, a competition expected to attract at least 10,000 runners. Former Kenyan Olympic gold medalist Eliud Kipchoge attended the event and joined the medical team to learn more about the Reveal 35C detector.
The second edition of the Chepsaita Great Cross Country is scheduled for December 7, when another free medical camp is expected to take place.
The Reveal 35C detector, known for its dual-energy subtraction capabilities, allows for differentiation between soft tissues and bones, making it suitable for use in diverse medical environments, including community outreach events. Thanks to its high DQE, the detector provides high-quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure, a critical feature for mobile healthcare initiatives.
